주 하나님,

저는 당신의 살아계신 말씀이신 

예수님의 장엄함과 아름다움에

구약과 신약의 말씀들인

당신의 기록된 말씀의 능력과 깊이와 명확한 의미에

경이로움을 금하지 못합니다.

제가 당신의 말씀에 

경이로움을,

혹은 능력과 위로와 새로운 확신을 잃어버리는데

익숙하지 않도록 저를 도와주시길 바랍니다.

시간과 모든 장래의 주님이신

당신께 영광을 돌립니다.

아멘.

Saturday Prayer:

Lord God, Blessed Trinity, I marvel at the wonder of your Word—the grandeur and beauty of Jesus, the Living Word; the power and depth and plain sense of your Written Word, the Scriptures, Old and New Testaments. Help me not by familiarity to lose the wonder or miss the power and the consoling or convicting freshness. Glory be to you, Lord of the ages and the future. Amen.
