선교

구약의 하나님은 세상의 모든 가족들을 축복하시기 위해 한 가족을 부르신 선교사의 하나님이시다. 복음서의 그리스도는 선교사이신 그리스도이시다. 그분은  증인으로 교회를 보내셨다. 사도행전의 성령님은 선교사이신 성령님이시다. 그분은 예루살렘에서 로마까지 교회를 선교하도록 이끄셨다. 요한계시록의 마지막은 모든 열방으로 부터 구원받은 셀수 없는 수많은 사람들로 인한 선교사의 마지막이다. ... 선교는 하나님의 중심에 놓여 있다. 그러므로 선교는 교회의 가장 큰 중심이다. 선교하지 않는  교회는 더 이상 교회가 아니다(존 스토트).

The God of the Old Testament is a missionary God, calling one family in order to bless all the families of the earth. The Christ of the Gospels is a missionary Christ; he sent the church out to witness. The Spirit of the Acts is a missionary Spirit; he drove the church out from Jerusalem to Rome.The end of the Revelation is a missionary End, a countless throng from every nation.... Mission lies at the heart of God and therefore at the very heart of the church. A church without mission is no longer a church.
