하워드스나이더 목사의 기도(월요일)

오 하나님,

당신의 수많은 자녀들이 주님앞에 엎드리며

온땅 곳곳에서 주님의 도우심을 요청하는 것을 기억하며

제가 이순간 주님앞에 나옵니다.

매일 많은 사람들이 저를 위해 기도함을 기억하며

제가 주님앞에 감사를 드립니다.

구름같이 둘러싼 허다한 증인들과  

저를 위해 중보하시는 예수님을 신뢰하며

제가 평화와 기쁨속에

저자신을 이날과 이주간을 새롭게 주님앞에 드립니다.

아멘.

이러므로 우리에게 구름 같이 둘러싼 허다한 증인들이 있으니 모든 무거운 것과 얽매이기 쉬운 죄를 벗어 버리고 인내로써 우리 앞에 당한 경주를 하며 믿음의 주요 온전하게 하시는 이인 예수를 바라보자 그는 그앞에 있는 기쁨을 위하여 십자가를 참으사 부끄러움을 개의치 아니하시더니 하나님 보좌 우편에 앉으셨느니라

Monday Prayer:

I come before you at this moment, O God, remembering that many thousands of your children are also bowing before you and calling on your aid right now throughout the earth. In gratitude before you I remember that many people daily are praying for me. Surrounded by this great cloud of witnesses, and trusting in the intercession of Jesus on my behalf, I give myself anew to you for this day and week, with peace and joy. Amen.

Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
